Scenic Painting

I adore painting large scale, and no, that doesn’t stop at murals. From 2013 - 2020 I was working a lot of freelance jobs across the UK as part of the scenic painting ensemble, occasionally managing projects and delivering some solo.

Often the demand would be for well textured environments with lots of decay and mold, which turns out to be one of the things I enjoy painting most. Then every Christmas it would be time for glitz and glam, predominantly working for the Liverpool Royal Court, indipendant theatre companies and restaurants.

It’s a thrilling job, requiring a lot of skill, focus and project management to ensure the tight deadlines are met, and the entire cast and team are pleased with the results, especially once the stage lighting hits!
